Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Stir until honey is dissolved.
  2. 2. Add yeast to the mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it becomes frothy.
  3. 3. Stir in olive oil and salt.
  4. 4. Gradually add whole wheat flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. 5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  6. 6. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. 8. Bake the bread for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. 9. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
