  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 3 units egg whites
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg whites one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
