Ingredients 

Starter Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Water Room temperature

Instructions 

  1. Day 1: In a glass jar, mix 1 cup of whole wheat flour with 1 cup of water. Stir well, cover with a cloth, and let it sit at room temperature.
  2. Day 2-5: Each day, discard half of the starter and feed it with 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water. Stir well, cover, and let it sit at room temperature.
  3. By Day 5, your starter should be bubbly and have a tangy smell. It's ready to use in your sourdough recipes.
