Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 3.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast or 2 ¼ teaspoons
  • 1.5 cups Warm water 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. 2. Add the olive oil, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and divide it into portions for pizzas or calzones. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. 7. Add your favorite toppings or fillings and bake on a baking sheet or pizza stone for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
