Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Dried Beans any variety
- 1 lb Ham diced
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 6 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
1. Rinse and sort the beans. Soak them overnight or use the quick soak method.
2. In a large pot, add the soaked beans, ham, onion, garlic, and water. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
