Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2.5 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, 2.5 tablespoon sugar, salt, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  3. Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes, then beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Mix 1 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll warm churros in the mixture.
