Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the pot with the ground beef and stir to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and the sauce mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
