  • 3 cups Self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Butter chilled and cubed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  3. Add the butter and rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Mix until it forms a soft dough.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for a minute.
  6. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  7. Score the top with a sharp knife and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
